A Yankees game is a must do while you’re in the city, and it can be super affordable – even under $20!
The Tickets
I went with a group of 10 people, so we were able to get a group rate on SeatGeek for just $12.50 a ticket! While it isn’t feasible for everyone to go with a group, bleachers tickets are going to be cheaper no matter what!
Transportation
We took the train up to the stadium. It was a 45 minute commute from Brooklyn Heights, but would be much less coming from Midtown. The 4, B, and D lines all run to the stadium. The subway costs $3.00 a ride, so this brings us to $15.50
The Stadium
Did you know you can bring your empty water bottle in? If you don’t want to buy drinks, this is the perfect way to save money! You can get a hot dog for $3.00 in the stand by the bleachers. This brings us to $18.50, leaving room for tax & tip on your hot dog! And there you go, a night at Yankee Stadium for under $20!
Now, in full transparency, I did not do this because I wanted a beer and a chicken bucket, but when you get a $12.50 ticket, it doesn’t feel as crazy! The chicken bucket was $27 for SO much chicken and fries – perfect to split with 2-3 friends.
